I was licensed in 2000 and was excited for the opportunities a progressive, engaged real estate agency could bring to our community. So in 2002 I started Advantage Realty with the support of another seasoned Broker and Realtor team to manage the office so I could focus on building the Advantage Realty process: Selling the community first, and then selling a place to call “home”. There’s no place on earth like Russell, KS. AND there is no story more important than YOURS. My passion for the business inspires me to look at situations through the eyes of my customers and develop an understanding for their needs and priorities. If it’s important to you – it’s important to me.
I specialize in Residential and Commercial listing, but over the years I have assisted many Buyers in finding and negotiating their dream home or new business location. Every transaction is unique in it’s own way, and will have its own surprises. I expect the unexpected and am prepared to navigate through it all for my customers. The market is ever changing and so is life. Consequently, customers’ needs are ever changing – and I want to be there to help in any way I can. When you are ready for some REAL time, REAL honest, REAL help, we can work together to accomplish your Real Estate goals.
I have earned my Graduate Realtor Institute designation, am an Accredited Home Staging Specialist, and accredited as a Pricing Strategy Advisor. I continue to pursue knowledge of my industry that keeps me current to economic, governmental, and market trends that affect our local market, and ultimately my customers. I serve my community in many capacities through my church, Russell Main Street, the Russell Pride organization, and as a board member for a technology provider in our area. I have worked with the City of Russell on several housing assessments and strategic planning workshops. I have also served the real estate industry as an officer for our local/regional board and for the Kansas Association of Realtors, and remain very active in those associations.
I am married to G.J. Long, a long-time resident of Russell and we enjoy sharing in the lives of our three adult children (most of the time!). We have two Yorkies named Bitsy and Buster, and an adorable rescue named Bella. Oh, and 14-17 large goldfish in our backyard pond, depending on the week. We treasure our season tickets to KSU football games (Go CATS!) and enjoy traveling in our RV when our schedules allow.
